Travel MCP servers in 2026: who covers air, hotels, and ancillaries
If you are building an AI travel agent in 2026, the first question is no longer “should we use MCP?” but “which servers already exist, and what is still missing?” Large travel players now expose flights, hotels, and recommendations as Model Context Protocol tools. The layer after the ticket, meaning insurance, eSIM, lounges, fast track, transfers, and entry checks, is much thinner.
This is a builder’s map, not a ranking. Scope and access change quickly, so treat each row as a pointer to the provider’s own docs.
The public travel MCP servers builders mention most

| Greetwell | Tours and activities: search, details, real-time availability, and recommendations across 500+ destinations; read-only, returns booking links (30,000+ bookable experiences, October 2026) | Public, no authentication, at mcp.greetwell.com/mcp |
| Adrasis | Accommodation search, prebook, book, and cancel; transfers, tours, and charter flights on the same search-prebook-book pattern; packages of 2 to 5 services where all confirm or none do; trip grouping. Same schemas as the REST partner API, idempotency key on every book call | Partners of an Adrasis inventory owner (agency or tour operator), OAuth partner account scoped to its Open properties; remote at ari.console.adrasis.com/mcp |
| BusMagus | Coach travel: city lookup in any language or spelling, departures between two cities on a date with time, fare per adult, seats left, operator, and a booking link; route facts (duration, usual price range, luggage, cancellation rules) and station list. Read-only; booking finishes on busmagus.com (October 2026) | Public, free, no account or key, at busmagus.com/mcp (60 requests a minute per user) |
| BonBook | Flight search and booking inside Claude as a custom connector. Per BonBook’s setup page, the first booking opens a secure bonbook.co checkout page; after that the traveller can say “book option 2” in the chat (launched October 20, 2026) | Remote at mcp.bonbook.co/mcp, no BonBook account or password; needs a paid Claude plan that allows custom connectors |
| Wigoo | Travel eSIM catalog: destinations, plans, and prices in the traveller’s currency through four read-only tools (search_destinations, get_destination, list_plans, get_quote); get_quote returns a link that opens the purchase of one plan on getwigoo.com. Per Wigoo’s docs it places no orders and orders paid inside the assistant are planned, not available (October 2026) |
Public at api.getwigoo.com/api/mcp, no key or sign-in |
| aisim.now | Travel eSIM data plans for 160+ countries, sold to a signed-in user: browse plans by country, create the user’s account, start a purchase that returns a checkout page, then list products, installation links, and data usage, and manage the user’s eSIMs. The same operations are exposed as MCP tools and REST calls; its homepage names Claude, ChatGPT, and Meta’s Muse | Remote at api.aisim.now/mcp, OAuth (returns 401 without a token); listed in the official MCP registry as now.aisim/aisim (published Oct. 19, 2026) |
| MyBestSim | Independent travel eSIM comparator: four read-only tools (search_esim_plans, plan_trip_esim for multi-country trips, get_destination_overview, get_esim_plan) returning prices, data, and validity with a link to compare on the site; nothing is bought in the chat, and it discloses affiliate commissions (launched Oct. 19, 2026) |
Public at mcp.mybestsim.com/mcp, no auth (ChatGPT app directory, Claude connector) |
| Treppy | Travel insurance from multiple carriers: quote and compare across plans, then bind and issue a policy in the conversation, behind the same commerce layer as its REST API (MCP server announced June 9, 2026 by VisitorsCoverage) | Partner API key with sandbox; one contract across carriers |
| HelloSafe | Travel insurance comparison and a personalised quote inside ChatGPT, built on MCP, for 180 nationalities and 45 currencies; the subscription is finalised on HelloSafe’s own app. HelloSafe is an ORIAS-registered broker (June 2026) | ChatGPT app (@HelloSafe), consumer app; the release names no developer endpoint |
| ByteTravel | Six consumer tools in one server: travel insurance quotes, eSIM plans and a checkout link, visa and entry requirements, and airport lounge lookups shown in a widget; per its tool descriptions the traveller completes eSIM purchase outside the chat (ChatGPT app since June 2026, server v1.8.0) | Public remote at mcp.bytetravel.com/mcp, listed in the ChatGPT app directory |
Two patterns stand out. Airline-content servers (Sabre, Iris) go deep on the ticket, including air ancillaries like bags. Consumer-brand servers (Kiwi.com, Expedia, Amadeus Discover) lean toward search and recommendations, where the booking often finishes elsewhere. Newer entrants such as MAQAMI, Travel Code, and RouteStack go further and let the agent book, and OTAs are starting to sell through third-party assistants this way: eDreams ODIGEO now books through Alexa+ over its own MCP network. Corporate platforms are joining the same race: Ramp books policy-aware flights and hotels in the chat after an explicit confirm, while Perk builds the itinerary in the assistant and finishes payment in its web app. Otto and BizTrip AI also book in the chat after a confirm step, and hotel specialists such as 1Stay and Gondola keep the final room and payment approval on a checkout page. Bluerails goes further for DACH stays, booking a real room from the chat with no key or sign-up, while Greetwell opens tours and activities as a read-only server that hands off to a booking link. Adrasis takes a partner-scoped route instead: an agency or tour operator opens its own accommodation, transfers, tours, and charter flights to a partner’s agent, with packages that confirm all-or-nothing. Ground transport is arriving too: BusMagus opened a free, read-only coach server with live fares and seats that hands off to its own checkout. Flight booking inside the chat is spreading as well: Etraveli Group, which powers Booking.com flights, opened a Flight MCP on October 28, 2026 that handles seats and bags in the conversation and sends the traveller to a hosted payment page; BonBook lets Claude users book flights after a one-time checkout, and Ziarah Travel, an IATA-accredited agency in Abu Dhabi, launched a consumer booking assistant on Sabre’s agentic APIs and MCP server on October 20, 2026. In the public docs we reviewed, most of these servers focus on the ticket and the room. Non-ticket extras are arriving through specialists: Treppy lets an agent quote and bind travel insurance in the chat, eSIM seller Wigoo opened a public, read-only MCP server on October 23, 2026 that quotes real plans and hands the purchase to its own checkout, aisim.now goes further with an OAuth server where the agent creates the user’s account, starts the purchase, and later reads install links and data usage, MyBestSim compares eSIM plans across providers without selling one, HelloSafe compares travel insurance inside ChatGPT and finishes the subscription in its app, and ByteTravel bundles insurance quotes, eSIM plans, visa requirements, and lounge lookups in one consumer server for ChatGPT. Most of these still finish the purchase on the provider’s site, and fast track and transfers rarely appear as bookable tools. That puts confirmation design squarely on the builder: MAQAMI’s own launch post warns that booking creates a real reservation, so the agent should confirm with the user first.
Where MCP fits next to NDC and plain REST
Sabre has said publicly it sees MCP as the next shift after NDC (Travolution). In practice MCP sits on top of supplier APIs rather than replacing them: the agent discovers tools and their schemas over a standard session, and the server still calls airline, hotel, or ancillary systems underneath.
Not every agent integration is MCP either. Duffel, for example, powers travel inside Meta’s Muse agent through an API connector (Duffel). Choose MCP when your product lives in a chat or IDE host and you want standard tool discovery; REST is still fine for headless back ends. Our MCP vs REST notes go deeper.
The gap: the trip after the ticket
Once a PNR exists, a traveller still asks for things no flight server returns:
- Cover: travel insurance quoted against the actual itinerary (insurance use case)
- Connectivity: an eSIM for the destination (eSIM API for AI agents)
- Layover comfort: lounge access at the connecting airport (lounges)
- Queues: security fast track (fast track)
- Arrival: a transfer from the airport (transfers)
- Entry: visa or eVisa eligibility checks (visas), as information, not legal advice
Some suppliers already bundle part of this behind one REST schema. Tripgic, for instance, describes eSIM returning in the same JSON format as its lounge and fast-track products (Tripgic), and Zetexa sells eSIM alongside lounge, fast track, and meet-and-greet through one API (PR Newswire via StreetInsider). In October 2026, Yuvo launched fast track, eSIM, lounge access, and seat selection alongside flight data and disruption payouts under one API and one contract (our news note). For an agent, the question is whether those extras show up as tools it can quote, confirm, and issue in-session.
How to assemble a full-trip MCP stack
- Pick the ticket source. An airline-content or flights server, or your existing air API.
- Add an ancillary shelf. One server or API for the non-ticket jobs above, so the agent does not juggle five supplier contracts.
- Enforce quote-then-confirm. Price before the model commits, explicit traveller confirmation on paid calls, and an idempotency key on retries.
- Log every paid call. Per-call cost, supplier, and customer tag, so finance and support can trace what the agent did.
Ancilair covers step 2 as a pay-per-call marketplace for AI agents: MCP, REST, and CLI, one token, supplier rates passed through with 0% markup on the hosted marketplace. Setup notes for common hosts live on the agents page, including Claude and Cursor.

Questions
- Which travel companies run public MCP servers?
- Public examples include Sabre (agentic APIs plus an MCP server), TPConnects (MCP on its Iris airline-content platform), lastminute.com (a Flight MCP Server), Kiwi.com (a remote flight-search server), Expedia Group (an open-source travel recommendations server), Amadeus Discover (activities and destinations), eDreams ODIGEO (an MCP network behind Alexa+ booking), RouteStack (flights, hotels, cars, and soon activities behind one endpoint), Travel Code, Vibe, Perk, Ramp, Otto, and BizTrip AI (corporate and business travel), MAQAMI (hotel and flight search and booking), 1Stay, Gondola, Bluerails, and Dida (hotels), Greetwell (tours and activities), Adrasis (accommodation, transfers, tours, charter flights, and packages from an agency's or tour operator's own inventory), BusMagus (live coach departures and fares), BonBook (flight search and booking inside Claude), Etraveli Group (a Flight MCP with fares, passenger details, seats, and luggage in the conversation and a hosted payment page), Wigoo (read-only travel eSIM plans and prices, with a buy link), aisim.now (eSIM purchase, install links, and data usage for a signed-in user), MyBestSim (read-only eSIM price comparison across providers), Treppy (travel insurance quotes and policy binding), HelloSafe (a travel insurance comparison app in ChatGPT), and ByteTravel (insurance quotes, eSIM plans, visa requirements, and lounge lookups in one consumer server). Check each provider's docs for current scope and access terms.
- Do travel MCP servers cover ancillaries?
- Mostly air ancillaries tied to the ticket, such as bags or seats on airline-content servers. A few servers now cover non-ticket extras: Treppy and HelloSafe for travel insurance, Wigoo, aisim.now, and MyBestSim for eSIM plans, and ByteTravel for insurance, eSIM, visa requirements, and lounges, often handing checkout to the provider's own site. Fast track, transfers, and in-session issuance across several categories usually still need a separate tool layer.
- Is MCP replacing NDC?
- Sabre has said publicly that it sees MCP as the next distribution shift. MCP does not remove the need for airline or supplier APIs; it standardises how an AI agent discovers and calls them.
- Is "travel MCP" the same as Mobile Passport Control?
- No. Here MCP means Model Context Protocol, the open standard for giving AI agents tools. Mobile Passport Control is a US CBP airport program.
